A man said two people tried to rob him of his wallet at 4 a.m. April 5 near the intersection of Karl Road and Cottonwood Drive.
They ended up stealing his $200 cellphone instead. The victim told officers that the two men assaulted him and attempted to take his wallet. The phone fell out of his pocket during the struggle, he said, and the two men took it.

* A Medina Avenue man was charged with trespassing at 7:33 p.m. April 5 after he was found on railroad property, climbing on train cars and detaching train cars at the intersection of Morse and Sinclair roads.
* A man said he was robbed by someone he knows at 2:25 a.m. April 4 at the intersection of Red Robin and Karl roads. He said $300 in cash and a $58 cellphone were taken.
* Someone kicked in the doors of two apartments in the 4500 block of Northland Square Drive East between noon March 31 and noon April 4. Damage was estimated at $400, but nothing appeared to have been taken, police reports said.
* A man said he had to leap on the hood of a vehicle after the driver attempted to hit him with the car at 1:30 p.m. April 3 in the 5400 block of Sumac Loop East. The man said he rolled off and suffered an injured back in the fall. Another man said the driver then drove the vehicle into his house. The report contained no damage estimate. The first victim told the reporting officer the vehicle never struck him and stated he did not want to prosecute the driver.
