Many consider fried food the main attraction of any fair. When the Twinkie took the plunge, it certainly turned heads and opened wallets.

Many consider fried food the main attraction of any fair. When the Twinkie took the plunge, it certainly turned heads and opened wallets. See how ThisWeek staffers respond to the question: Any thoughts on deep-fried Twinkies?

Sarah Sole: I’ll pass on them.

Neil Thompson: Like most things deep-fried, they are quite good.

Lisa Proctor: I've never liked Twinkies; deep frying cannot help them.

Dennis Laycock: Just no.

Scott Hummel: I've never tried one but would not turn one down.

Abby Armbruster: I tried one once many years ago and didn't think it was all that great. Frying should be limited to savory ingredients.

Nate Ellis: I think everyone's entitled to pursue their own interests and tastes, but I don't have any use for a fried Twinkie. The traditional Twinkie stands up, though.

Andrew King: I'm not really into any variety of Twinkie.

Lee Cochran: Never tried one; never will.
