• SourcePoint – Meals on Wheels needs pickup and delivery volunteers, medical transportation drivers, Medicare teachers and counselors and a concierge for building tours.

• Delaware Speech and Hearing Center – Three or four volunteers are needed to help with spring cleanup.

• HelpLine – The Sexual Assault Response Network program needs compassionate and motivated people to assist survivors of sexual assault; free training is provided.

• Connections Volunteer Center – Senior Companions, at least 55 years old, are needed 15 to 20 hours weekly to help homebound seniors stay independent; a tax-free stipend and mileage costs are paid.

• Willow Brook by Day – People needed on weekdays to work one on one with seniors in activities such as puzzles or reading, or to lead group activities, with the greatest need between 1 and 5 p.m.

• Big Brothers Big Sisters – Volunteers, especially men, needed for regular visits and activities.

• Main Street Delaware – Help get our community clean for spring at the Clean Your Block Party, set from 9 to 11 a.m. April 29. Cleaning supplies will be provided.

• Turning Point – Volunteers needed to spread awareness of help available for domestic-violence victims by distributing literature; reliable transportation and proof of insurance are required.

• Delaware County Court Visitor Program – Helpers needed to serve as the court’s eyes and ears by visiting people under guardianship to determine if they are receiving suitable protection and care.

• Kindred Hospice – People needed to provide spiritual, physical and emotional support for patients with terminal illnesses.

• The Strand Theatre – Movie lovers are needed to help check patron behavior and help them find seats; a volunteer also is needed for hauling, cleaning, painting and hanging displays.

• Friends of the Delaware County District Library – Book-loving board members are sought to help with marketing, social media, book sales and committee work 10 to 20 hours each month.

• People In Need – Volunteers and groups needed to help with an outdoor fresh produce market the last Wednesday of each month, including setup, client sign-in and shopping, traffic control and cleanup.

• Delaware County Historical Society – Grant-writers are needed to work several hours each month to preserve the Barn at Stratford; volunteers will receive a free one-year membership.

• The Arts Castle – Clothed models are needed at Thursday drawing classes in May; to help with the Ohio Wesleyan University Cultural Hop on April 30; and to work at the gallery shop on a monthly basis.
