Bexley police received various reports of thefts from businesses involving the loss of money and merchandise.
The owner of business in the 2600 block of East Main Street reported someone pried open the rear door of the business between May 2 and May 3 and stole a bank money bag containing $160 from a counter drawer.
The owner of a store in the 500 block of Drexel Avenue reported someone forced entry into the store through a rear door between May 3 and May 4 and stole $300 in cash from a desk drawer.
The manager of a store in the 2200 block of East Livingston Avenue reported that at 7:03 a.m. May 4, a male suspect entered the store and stole some cans of beer, sandwiches and possibly some electronics. A description of the suspect was not provided, according to the report.
In other recent reports from the Bexley police department:
* A resident in the 1000 block of Chelsea Avenue reported that between April 30 and May 1, someone entered his unlocked vehicle while it was parked in his driveway and stole miscellaneous electronics.
* A resident in the 200 block of South Parkview Avenue reported someone entered her unlocked garage between 9:30 p.m. May 1 and 7:20 a.m. May 2 and stole five bicycles.
