Pickerington Police Chief Michael Taylor has two important reminders for residents and motortists.
First, Ohio law still requires two license plates on a motor vehicle and, secondly, residents must display parking permits on vehicles in areas where a permit is required.
In accordance with the Ohio Revised Code Section 4503.21, a valid license plate must be displayed on both the front and rear of a motor vehicle.
Even if the vehicle is only outfitted for a rear license plate, a license plate on the front of the vehicle is still required.
As we welcome new businesses in the Olde Village, residential parking may sometimes be impacted. We have seen an increase in parking on Church Street, which is limited to permit parking only, and officers have stepped up parking enforcement efforts there.
We encourage residents on Church Street to contact the police department, if you haven't already done so, and obtain a parking permit for your vehicle.
