The Reynoldsburg VFW Post 9473 Color Guard will perform a three-volley rifle salute and play taps at several local cemeteries and at the Reynoldsburg Post to "honor the fallen" for Memorial Day.

Color Guard Capt. John Waibel said the group will be at Franklin Hills Memorial Gardens, 582 Elder Road, Canal Winchester, for a service at 11:30 a.m. May 27.

The group also will serve at five Memorial Day ceremonies May 29 – the first will be at 9 a.m. at Silent Home Cemetery, 1576 Lancaster Ave., Reynoldsburg; another at 9:30 a.m. at Seceder Cemetery in Reynoldsburg on state Route 256; and at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery, 11539 National Road, in Etna.

At noon, the Color Guard will hold a ceremony at the VFW Post 9473 front lawn at 1420 Waggoner Road.

The last ceremony will be at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 5600 E. Broad St., Waibel said.
