A complaint from another driver resulted in an OVI citation for a 30-year-old Columbus man.
On May 21, the New Albany Police Department received a complaint about a vehicle traveling on U.S. Route 62.
After searching the area, an officer saw the vehicle swerve across both lanes and travel on the left side of the road.
A traffic stop was initiated at 1:46 a.m. at Beech Road and state Route 161. After failing field sobriety tests, the driver was cited for OVI.
In other recent New Albany police incident reports:
* A resident in the 6400 block of Cedar Brook Drive on May 20 told police that between Dec. 1 and Feb. 20, someone stole $400 cash, $1,200 in gold coins and a handgun valued at $400 from his home. He said he found no signs of forced entry or evidence someone was in his home.
* A resident in the 6500 block of Cedar Brook Drive on May 16 told police that someone stole a package off his front porch on the afternoon of May 14. He said the package contained clothing and a Bluetooth speaker; the items had a total value of $50.
