A girl contacted police at 6:30 p.m. June 1 while at the Whetstone branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library, 3909 N. High St., to report receiving text messages from someone requesting nude photos of her.

The victim said the messages had been sent between 4 a.m. May 28 and 4:29 p.m. the day of the report.

In other recent Clintonville-area police reports:

* An employee of a store in the 2900 block of North High Street said a customer threatened by phone to throw him through the window at 4 p.m. June 1.

* A Fallhaven Drive man was charged with disorderly conduct at 12:05 a.m. June 1 after allegedly being found "too intoxicated to care for himself" in the 4900 block of North High Street.

* A man said he got into a verbal dispute at 1:54 p.m. May 28 with a fellow employee of a store in the 3500 block of North High Street. The victim said the suspect grabbed his new cellphone and ran out of the store. The victim gave chase but, while running, the suspect threw the cellphone to the ground, breaking the glass screen, reports said. Damage to the cellphone was estimated at $75.
