It took just minutes for burglars to steal a $10,000 ATM unit and a $4,000 cash register containing $410 in cash from a business in the 300 block of East Whittier Street.

The victim reported to Columbus police that between 4:34 and 4:38 a.m. May 27, the suspects broke through the front door, causing $1,500 worth of damage, and hauled away the ATM and register.

In other Columbus Division of Police incident reports from the area:

* A $1,500 laptop computer, a $75 computer charger and a $25 computer carrying bag were stolen between 10 and 10:45 a.m. May 30 from a vehicle at the intersection of East Hoster Street and Pearl Alley.

The victim reported $200 in damage was done to the vehicle.

* A woman reported someone stole her keys at 8:55 p.m. May 27 after she left them in the lock on the front door of her residence in the 200 block of East Sycamore Street.

The woman reported someone used one of the keys, valued at $400, to enter her vehicle, but they did not steal anything.

* Between 12:10 a.m. May 29 and 8:10 a.m. May 30, a $300 computer was stolen from a car in the 400 block of East Columbus Street.

* Sunglasses valued at $350, a $50 bottle of cologne and a $25 phone charger were stolen between 11 p.m. May 29 and 5 a.m. May 30 from a vehicle in the 300 block of East Kossuth Street.

The thief also tried to steal a car stereo, but was unsuccessful, the victim said.

* A bag containing miscellaneous items was stolen between 11 p.m. May 24 and 6 a.m. May 25 from a car in the 1200 block of City Park Avenue.

The suspect also caused $400 in damage to the car.

* A $30 T-shirt was stolen between 8 p.m. May 29 and 6:50 a.m. May 30 from a vehicle in the 200 block of East Whittier Street.

Spare change totaling $10 was stolen between 9:30 p.m. May 29 and 7 a.m. May 30 from a vehicle in the 200 block of Thurman Avenue.

* A $15,000 Land Rover HSE, manufacturing date unknown, was stolen from the 100 block of Thurman Avenue sometime after 6 p.m. May 27, according to a report filed May 28. The incident was captured on video, police said.

* Burglars stole car keys -- and a $5,000 Honda CRV, manufacturing date unknown -- from a residence in the 300 block of East Whittier Street.

The victim told police that at 4:35 a.m. May 30, the suspects also were unsuccessful in taking a mounted TV off of the wall. The suspects also caused $500 in damage to the residence.
