A resident of Sudbrook Square told the New Albany Police Department on June 14 that two Rolex watches worth $29,500 were stolen from his residence between June 5 and June 14.

The man said five companies had employees working at his residence during that time period.

In other recent New Albany police incident reports:

* A 44-year-old Newark man was arrested and charged with improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle after a traffic stop for an expired registration at 2:44 a.m. June 10 on state Route 161 at U.S. Route 62.

The man was transporting a handgun with a loaded magazine within reach from the driver's seat. He had a concealed-handgun license, but it was expired.

* A 29-year-old Reynoldsburg man was arrested for OVI at 7:23 p.m. June 11 after a traffic stop on Route 161 at the Harlem Road overpass.

* An 18-year-old Gahanna man was arrested for OVI and possession of controlled substances at 2:05 a.m. June 13 after a traffic stop at Village Hall and Reynoldsburg-New Albany roads.

* A Bible and $5 in change were reported stolen between 10 p.m. June 11 and 3 p.m. June 12 from a vehicle parked on the 7000 block of Lambton Park Road.

* A purse, wallet and luggage worth $100 and undeposited checks written to a business were reported stolen between 10 p.m. June 11 and 6 a.m. June 12 from a vehicle parked in a driveway on the 7000 block of Milton Court.

The checks were recovered a short time later in a neighbor's yard.
