Since his freshman season of high school, Dane Goodwin has known he wanted to play for Thad Matta at Ohio State.
When Matta’s firing was announced on June 5, it thrust the Upper Arlington guard into limbo as he remained committed to the program but withholding final judgment until he met and got to know the new coach.
During Chris Holtmann’s first week on the job, the Goodwin family met him a couple of times. And although things went well, Goodwin and his family have decided to reopen his recruitment and de-commit from Ohio State for the time being.
