A 40-year-old Hilliard man said he was robbed at 9:57 p.m. June 22 in the first block of Columbus Street.
The man said he was approached by two people, one brandishing a knife, who demanded he give them his cellphone, according to Columbus Division of Police incident reports.
The victim said he started to back away from the two people and they again demanded the phone. The victim complied and handed over his $1,000 phone.
In other recent incident reports from the area:
* Between 8 a.m. June 14 and 10 p.m. June 20, $15,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from a residence in the 600 block of South Grant Avenue.
Reports said someone broke into the house through a rear door on the north side of the property.
* A $700 dishwasher and $700 oven were stolen between 4:30 p.m. June 16 and 1 p.m. June 19 from a house in the 100 block of Lansing Street.
The victim told police he was remodeling the house and believes a real-estate agent who was showing the property might have left a door unlocked.
The suspects left the water running, causing $15,000 damage to the hardwood floors.
* A $300 briefcase and $500 computer were stolen between 5:30 and 7 p.m. June 15 from a vehicle in the 500 block of South High Street.
* Between midnight and 5:30 a.m. June 19, a $30 purse, $70 bag, a credit card and identification were stolen from a residence in the 300 block of East Mithoff Street.
