People who visit, live or work in the Grandview Yard development soon will be eating more chicken.

Nationwide Realty Investors announced June 20 that a 3,000-square-foot Chick-fil-A restaurant will open later this year at the Yard.

The restaurant, which will have a drive-through, is scheduled to open in October at a 1.3-acre site on the northwest corner of Third Avenue and Rail Street.

The Grandview Chick-fil-A will be the popular chain's eighth or ninth central Ohio store, depending on when a restaurant planned for the Ohio State University campus area opens.

"This addition will be a great amenity for the community, and particularly for those who live and work at Grandview Yard," Nationwide Realty Investors President and COO Brian Ellis said in the announcement.
