A dump truck lost its payload earlier this month while trying to navigate a Liberty Township road, according to Delaware County Sheriff's reports.
Deputies responded shortly before 3:30 p.m. June 19 to the report of a crash near the intersection of Riverside Drive and Sunset Court. A truck traveling north on Riverside Drive nearly went off the east side of the roadway, overcorrected and crossed into traffic on the west side of the roadway, reports said.
The driver overcorrected again and the truck entered a ditch on the east side of the roadway before rolling onto its side, reports said. The truck contained 2 cubic yards of topsoil and 22 bags of mulch at the time of the crash, reports said.
The driver of the truck, who was uninjured, was cited for failure to control, according to sheriff's reports. The truck, which suffered disabling damage, was towed from the scene, reports said.
