Crews from American Electric Power are working to restore power to a Worthington area affected by downed power lines.
According to Dan Whited, the city's service director, power lines were blown down on Hartford Street south of New England Avenue during storms Monday afternoon.
Whited said AEP is working to fix the issue, but has not yet presented a timetable.
Because of the downed lines, the traffic light at New England Avenue and High Street is out of commission, while another light at South and High streets is not functioning correctly, he said.
The Worthington service department saw some brief flooding, including sewer waters rushing fast enough to blow a manhole cover into the air.
By 5 p.m., flooding no longer was a concern, he said.
