Main Street in Hilliard between Heritage Club Drive North and South was closed temporarily as Hilliard Division of Police officers investigate an accident investigation involving pedestrian.

Chief Bobby Fisher said at 4:35 p.m. July 14, officers responded to a report of a 27-year-old man struck in a crosswalk by a car traveling south.

The man, identified by police as Lester Ferrell Jr. of Columbus, was transported to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center with serious injuries.

The drive was 17 years old, according to police.

The road remained closed until a little after 8 p.m.
