Bexley police said a resident in the 900 block of Grandon Avenue reported someone entered her unlocked, detached garage through the overhead door, which was open approximately 18 to 24 inches, July 5.

Once inside, the suspect or suspects locked the pedestrian door to prevent discovery while stealing about $4,000 worth of tools, according to reports.

In other recent Bexley police reports, a resident in the 1000 block of South Remington Road told police someone entered his garage July 3 through an open overhead door and stole a toolbox full of hand tools and a circular saw in a black case.

A resident in the 300 block of South Drexel Avenue reported someone entered her unattached garage through an open bay door and stole a bicycle July 1.

A resident in the 800 block of Montrose Avenue reported someone entered his garage through the pedestrian door and stole his miter saw and lawn mower July 6.
