There were several recent reports of thefts from or vandalism to automobiles in the 600 block of South High Street.

According to recent Columbus Division of Police incident reports:

* The passenger side window of a sport utility vehicle was broken between 3 p.m. July 3 and 7 p.m. July 7, causing $300 worth of damage.

* Between 8:30 p.m. July 6 and 7 a.m. July 7, a $500 laptop was stolen from a vehicle after the rear window was broken.

* An $80 black bag, a $150 computer and a $30 portable speaker were stolen between 8 p.m. July 7 and 10:26 a.m. July 8 after a vehicle's passenger side window was broken, causing $200 in damage.

* Between 9 p.m. July 5 and 9 a.m. July 6, a $300 computer, seven CDs valued at $45 and $5 worth of water bottles were stolen from a vehicle after a rear window was broken, causing an undetermined amount of damage.

In other recent area incident reports:

* Between 12:01 and 8:30 p.m. July 10 someone damaged the lock of a residence in the 500 block of South Pearl Street, causing $50 in damage.

* A $5,000 Volkswagen Passat, manufacturing date unknown, was stolen between 9:45 and 9:59 p.m. July 6 at the intersection of Siebert and Bruck streets.

* A backpack and its contents, valued at $300, were stolen from a vehicle at 10:30 p.m. July 10 from the 500 block of South High Street.

* A man was arrested for criminal mischief at 1:19 a.m. July 12 after he was seen opening the door to a vehicle at the intersection of Lazelle and East Sycamore streets.

* A burglar stole several items between 8 and 9 p.m. July 12 from a storage area underneath a house in the 600 block of Rader Alley.

Items stolen included a $20 tote locker, an $8 lock, a $50 bike rack for a vehicle and medical records. The suspect also caused $50 in damage to the door.

* Between 1 and 7:20 a.m. July 12, sunglasses valued at $100 and a $20 pocket knife were stolen from a vehicle in the 400 block of Reinhard Avenue.
