An unidentified man robbed a Worthington gas station and allegedly threatened to shoot the clerk earlier this month, according to the Worthington Division of Police.

According to reports, the man entered the gas station on the 7100 block of North High Street at 1:25 a.m. July 15.

He reportedly told the clerk to give him all the money in the drawer and threatened to shoot the employee in the head.

The man was believed to be in his mid-20s, stood 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighed about 160 pounds and had blond hair.

The man took the money and left in the direction of a nearby hotel.

According to police, the man matched the description of a similar robbery at a gas station on High Street in Columbus just south of Worthington.

The investigation is ongoing. Any information about the man can be reported to the police division at 614-885-4463.

In other recent incident reports from the Worthington Division of Police:

* The manager of a restaurant on the 2100 block of West Dublin-Granville Road reported that money was missing from the business' safe on the morning of July 15.

According to reports, no indications of forced entry were found.

The investigation is ongoing.

* Multiple residents reported having mail stolen or checks forged between July 11 and 16.

The police division has received dozens of similar reports this year and the thefts are being investigated by the local office of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
