Memorial Health recently closed on its purchase of the former Aaron’s retail space on Lydia Drive at City Gate, according to a July 27 news release.
The regional health system invested $1.03 million on the nearly 8,000-square-foot facility that previously was home to the rent-to-own furniture, appliance and electronics store, the release said. With its former use, the building has few walls or internal structures that would allow build-out to suit a variety of needs.
With the pending inpatient and outpatient facility construction project on its main campus, Memorial has been filling its medical space with office relocations and new practices, the release said. The exact use of the new facility, 1051 Lydia Drive, has not yet been determined.
Construction on the Memorial 2020 project is expected to begin in early spring 2018, according to the news release.
