As of 3 p.m. today, Hilliard motorists who frequently use Hayden Run Road can resume their routine.
The road opened slightly ahead of schedule, said Letty Schamp, Hilliard’s deputy city engineer.
Signs announcing the closure and detours will remain posted until July 31, the originally scheduled reopening, Schamp said, but the contactor has removed the barricades.
Hayden Run east of Britton Parkway closed June 19 for a project related to new construction at the adjacent complex for Vadata, an Amazon subsidiary that builds data centers.
A culvert has been replaced west of the Interstate 270 overpass and the shoulders of Hayden Run, east of Britton Parkway, have been widened.
The section of road remains one lane in each direction east of Britton Parkway.
Trucco Construction Co. completed the eight-week project for $816,500, slightly less than the engineer’s estimate of $838,500, according to Clark Rausch, Hilliard’s city engineer.
