A man told Columbus police he was napping when his girlfriend stole his $50,000 Dodge Ram pickup truck.

The victim told police the crime occurred at 4:30 p.m. July 20 in the 900 block of South High Street.

In other recent Columbus Division of Police incident reports from the area:

* A Hyundai Elantra was reported stolen between 8:30 a.m. July 19 and 6:45 p.m. July 20 from the 400 block of Elsmere Street.

A value for the vehicle was not listed in the report.

* A $30 reusable water bottle was stolen between 11:59 p.m. July 24 and 7 a.m. July 25 from the 1000 block of City Park Avenue.

* An $850 handgun was stolen between 10 and 10:30 a.m. July 19 from a vehicle in the 500 block of East Livingston Avenue.

The thief also broke a passenger-side window, causing $300 worth of damage.

* A man told police he was assaulted at 3 a.m. July 22 in the 600 block of South High Street. The victim said he was assaulted by multiple suspects, who fled the scene.

* Two backpack leaf blowers valued at $1,200 total were stolen between 2 and 2:30 p.m. July 25 from the back of a truck in the 800 block of South Third Street.

* A shotgun, value unknown, was stolen between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. July 25 in the 300 block of Forest Street.

* At 1 a.m. July 26, a woman in the 600 block of South Sixth Street said she witnessed a man use a black felt marker to write a vulgar message on a fountain she had placed on the sidewalk.

A damage estimate was not listed in the reports. The victim said she was giving away the fountain and had placed it on the sidewalk when it was defaced.
