The New Albany-Plain Local school board will meet again Monday, Aug. 7, to chat about and possibly vote on a permanent-improvements levy for the November ballot.
The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the district’s annex building. 79 N. High St.
Board members will hear a presentation from representatives with the Franklin County Auditor’s Office and could vote on the levy that evening, district spokesman Patrick Gallaway said.
The deadline to file an issue for the Nov. 7 general election is Aug. 9.
The school board voted unanimously July 24 to table a request for a 1.25-mill, five-year permanent-improvements levy on the November ballot. The board also discussed meeting with representatives from the auditor’s office to learn more about the county’s recent reappraisal process.
