A sobriety checkpoint will be set up Friday, Aug. 11, in western Franklin County, according to a news release from the Franklin County DUI Task Force.

The exact location of the checkpoint will be announced Aug. 11.

The task force wants to impress upon those who will be consuming alcohol this weekend to plan for a designated driver and to not let friends drive while intoxicated, the release said.
