Contested races for three seats on the Pickerington school board appear to be in order this fall after five candidates filed with the Fairfield County Board of Elections.

Three board incumbents and two would-be challengers filed for the Nov. 7 election by the board of elections’ 4 p.m. deadline Aug. 9.

Candidates for the school board, as well for Pickerington City Council and Violet Township trustees, will become official after the board of elections certifies filings Aug. 21.

According to unofficial filings from the board of elections, the lists are as follows:
