November’s Olentangy school board race will not be contested after all.

Three candidates – challenger Andrew Forgrave and incumbents Julie Wagner Feasel and Dave King – filed in August to run for two seats on the Nov. 7 ballot.

Forgrave confirmed Sept. 7 he has dropped out of the race for “personal reasons,” calling the move a “family decision.”

The 43-year-old Orange Township resident previously mounted an unsuccessful run for a seat on the board in November 2015.

Forgrave, who has served on the district’s school boundaries committee, said he will continue to look for ways to volunteer within the district.

Feasel, who joined the school board in 2006, and King, who joined the board in 2009, now are the lone candidates running for two four-year terms on the panel.
