A mud-covered Jeep led to an OVI citation for a 27-year-old Columbus man.

New Albany police stopped the man's vehicle at 8:21 p.m. Aug. 28 after watching him make a left turn from Babbitt Road on to East Dublin-Granville Road, according to the report.

Officers found the driver was impaired and had trespassed on private property.

The man was cited for OVI and criminal trespass, although the latter charge later was dropped.

In other recent incident reports from the New Albany Police Department:

* A 42-year-old Blacklick man was cited for OVI at 11:40 p.m. Sept. 2 after police were dispatched to the 5000 block of Johnstown Road on the report of an accident with a vehicle in a ditch.

* A 23-year-old Columbus man was cited for the theft of miscellaneous clothing that was reported stolen at 11:05 p.m. Aug. 31 from a business in the 6300 block of Fitch Path.
