The city of Dublin is weighing a proposal for a small hospital in the city.

The application, from Embree Asset Group and Peace Hanson LLC, details plans for 3.5 acres on the south side of West Dublin-Granville Road west of Sawmill Road.

According to the application, the hospital would be a single story, 18,000 square-foot building serving private pay, Medicare and Medicaid patients.

The hospital would provide inpatient nursing care and an emergency department and include a maximum of 15 patient beds, 8 inpatient beds and 7 outpatient exam rooms. Surgical procedures or outpatient services wouldn't be available on site, although the hospital would be able to receive ambulance patients.

The application didn't include a total number of employees planned, but city officials said they were told seven employees typically would be on a shift at a time.

Dublin's Planning & Zoning Commission will review the project's basic plan at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 21 in Dublin City Hall, 5200 Emerald Parkway.

Calls to Peace Hanson LLC and Embree Asset Group requesting comment were not returned.
