An attempted theft of baby formula and steaks led to three arrests by Delaware County Sheriff's Office deputies earlier this month in Orange Township.

Deputies responded to a report of a theft in progress shortly before 7:15 p.m. Oct. 12 at a business in the first block of Meadow Park Avenue. Someone stole two T-bone steaks, together worth $70, and 17 packages of baby formula, together worth about $280, along with five candy bars, reports said.

Three people were arrested near the intersection of Columbus Pike and Powell Road shortly after deputies arrived, reports said.

Deputies arrested a 37-year-old Columbus woman on charges of theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor, according to sheriff's reports. They also arrested a 49-year-old Columbus man and a 47-year-old Columbus woman on charges of complicity to theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, according to reports.

The 47-year-old woman also faces a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor, reports said. Deputies seized two glass pipes from the suspects, according to reports.

* Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle striking a business shortly before 3:15 p.m. Oct. 15 in the 9800 block of Brewster Lane in Liberty Township. A man lost control of his vehicle after suffering a "medical-related incident," according to sheriff's reports.

The Liberty Township Fire Department transported the man to a Columbus hospital after the crash, reports said. The building and car sustained "significant damage," according to sheriff's reports.

* A man reported a theft from a vehicle took place between 1 and 4 p.m. Oct. 10 in the 4100 block of North Hampton Drive in Liberty Township. Someone stole a backpack valued at $30, a wallet worth $30 and $60 in cash from the car, reports said.

* A man reported a theft from a vehicle occurred between midnight and 7:15 a.m. Oct. 10 in the 400 block of Riverbend Avenue in Orange Township. Someone entered multiple vehicles and stole a $50 gift card, an insurance card and a vehicle registration card, according to sheriff's reports.
