A Lewis Center man told Columbus police officers his arm was broken at 3:45 p.m. Oct. 30 in the 100 block of Fitz Henry Boulevard when someone he didn't know grabbed him and threw him to the ground.

The victim took himself to a local hospital for treatment of the injury, according to police reports.

In other recent Clintonville-area police reports:

* A $400 safe was reported stolen in the burglary of a business in the 5000 block of North High Street that took place at 5:51 a.m. Oct. 30, police reports said.

Damage to exterior and interior doors was estimated at $1,000.

* A car-battery booster was reported stolen in a vehicle break-in Oct. 29 in the 2600 block of Deming Avenue. The victim told police he caught the suspect on camera.

* Backpacks, sunglasses, tools and other items were stolen in a series of vehicle break-ins in central Clintonville, reported Oct. 26 through Nov. 2.

The crimes occurred in the 3900 block of North High Street, the 200 and 400 blocks of Glenmont Avenue, the 300 block of Chatham Road, the 500 block of Northridge Road, the first block of Brevoort Road and the 500 block of Blenheim Road.
