Representatives of Advance America, 1910 Hard Road, reported the payday lending business was robbed at 8:41 a.m. Oct. 28 and a 30-year-old employee was assaulted, according to Columbus Division of Police incident reports.

The victim said the suspect, who stole an undisclosed amount of cash and more than $4,000 in assorted checks, fled the scene northbound on foot.

In other recent incident reports from northwest Columbus:

* A girl said she was head-butted by another student at her elementary school in the 1400 block of Hard Road at 11 a.m. Nov. 2 .

"The victim stated that this was without provocation and this is an ongoing problem," the responding officer noted in his report. "The victim stated that she had a bump on her head immediately after the incident and was treated with ice while at school.

"Officer (Joseph) Lovell did observe a bump on the center of the victim's forehead." The report was written at 4:29 p.m. at the insistence of the victim's father.

* A 29-year-old woman and a man, 28, were both victims and suspects in an assault incident in the 7200 block of Skyline Drive East that was investigated at 6:10 p.m. Nov. 2.

According to the responding officer, the man "called out" the woman for allegedly overcharging his girlfriend for an apartment at the complex.

"Victim one became irate and grabbed victim two's shirt and threw him to the ground," the report stated.

"Victim one continued to push victim two about and shoved him out of the apartment.

Victim two's shirt was ripped in multiple places." The woman admitted grabbing the man, but said it was in self defense. No arrests were reported.

* A 31-year-old Lewis Center man said he was assaulted by an intoxicated customer at a restaurant in the 5900 block of Sawmill Road when he asked the person to leave the business at 3:01 a.m. Oct. 31.

The victim said the drunken customer had spent three hours in the restaurant.

When told to leave, the suspect "became upset and threw his food and drink in the direction of victim one and then struck him multiple times in the face with a closed fist leaving a red mark on the right side of victim one's face."

* A woman from Orient said she was assaulted and threatened by a suspect with a gun at 11:15 p.m. Oct. 29 in the 6200 block Michaelkenney Lane.

In addition, the 22-year-old victim said the SIM card to her cellphone, $40 in makeup and $100 worth of clothing were stolen.
