Mark Abate will join two incumbents on the Hilliard school board.

With all precincts reporting Nov. 7, Lisa Whiting was the top vote-getter with 8,601 votes (37 percent of votes cast), followed by incumbent board member Paul Lambert with 7,662 votes (33 percent) and Abate with 6,791 votes (29 percent), according to unofficial results from the Franklin County Board of Elections.

Abate won the seat vacated by current board president Andy Teater, who was elected to Hilliard City Council.

Write-in candidate Douglas “D.J” Williams was unsuccessful in his bid, receiving 224 votes (1 percent).
