Westerville officers and paramedics reportedly responded to a call about a heroin overdose that didn't happen on the evening of Oct. 22 in the 500 block of Olde Mill Drive.

According to reports, the woman called police to report her son needed naloxone after using heroin.

When officers arrived at the scene, no one answered the door, according to reports.

They entered the home when they heard a voice, and reported a man "came up from the basement" to tell them he was fine.

According to reports, the man said he had used heroin earlier in the day and the woman called so he would feel embarrassed.

In other recent incident reports from the Westerville Division of Police:

* A resident reported seeing two men walking through the neighborhood breaking into vehicles around the 400 block of Mariemont Drive East on the night of Oct. 28. Police responded to the scene, but could not find the suspects the caller had described.

* A Westerville resident reported someone stole a laptop from her vehicle between Oct. 27 and 28 in the 300 block of Burns Drive.
