Following are holiday events planned throughout December in Hilliard:

Hollyfest Arts & Crafts Show 

The 35th annual Hollyfest Arts & Crafts Show will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 2 at Hilliard Davidson High School, 5100 Davidson Road.

The juried show is expected to feature 118 vendors showcasing an array of handmade items, including arts and crafts, clothes, accessories, handbags, jewelry, pottery, glassware and food.

Admission to Hollyfest is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and students. Children 12 and under are admitted free. Parking is free.

Holiday Hop and City Tree Lighting

The tree-lighting ceremony will be 5:30 to 7 p.m. Dec. 3 at Hilliard's Station Park at Center and Main streets, with additional activities at the Historical Village at Weaver Park, 4100 Columbia St.

At past tree-lighting ceremonies, school choirs have performed and activities have included ice sculpting and live reindeer.

'A Christmas Carol'

The Hilliard Arts Council production will be staged at 7 p.m. Dec. 8 and at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Hilliard Civic and Cultural Arts Center, 5425 Center St.

Admission will be $5, a donation of five canned goods or donation of a toy, said Robin Brenneman, executive director of the Hilliard Arts Council.

Food donations benefit the Hilliard Community Assistance Council and toys go to Firefighters for Kids.

Breakfast with Santa

The annual event sponsored by the Hilliard Lions Club will be 9 to 11 a.m. Dec. 9 at the Phyllis A. Ernst Senior Center, 3810 Veterans Memorial Drive.

No registration is required. Adult breakfasts are $6; children 6 and under are free.

Handel's 'Messiah'

The Hilliard Arts Council will perform Handel's "Messiah" at 3 p.m. Dec. 10 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 6135 Rings Road, Dublin.

Admission to the annual holiday performance is free.

Santa in the Red Caboose

Santa Claus will make an appearance from 3 to 6 p.m. Dec. 10 at the Historical Village at Weaver Park, 4100 Columbia St.
