Columbus Division of Police officers arrested a man Nov. 21 and continue searching for another wanted in connection with the city’s 119th homicide of the year and a related shooting.

As of 10 a.m. Nov. 22, police had not released the identity of the man who was fatally shot the evening of Nov. 21 at a residence in the 5000 block of Legacy Lane, south of Hilliard near Roberts Road.

Police arrested Mackenzie A. Litteral, 20, of Cedar Woods Avenue in London. He has been charged with murder.

Litteral had been sentenced to prison last year "after admitting a violation of his community control for a heroin possession conviction," according to The Madison Press.

Police have identified the second man as Shane Michael Daley of Claudia Drive in London.

Columbus officers responded to a call at 6:54 p.m. that someone had been shot. Columbus medics pronounced the man dead at 7:04 p.m., police said.

After further investigation, officers learned a second man was shot during the encounter.

He was found near Roberts and Walcutt roads and was transported to a local hospital, where he was admitted in serious but stable condition, police said.

Homicide detectives are continuing to interview witnesses related to the investigation.

Anyone with information should contact the Columbus homicide unit at 614-645-4730 or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-8477.
