Officers responding to a report of a disturbance in the 5400 block of Bethel Road at 2:28 a.m. Dec. 19 found a cab driver with an allegedly unruly customer.
The driver, a 36-year-old man, said that when he arrived at the address to pick up his fare, the suspect was carried out to his cab by security personnel.
According to Columbus Division of Police incident reports, the driver asked the man for his address ... and the suspect requested to go to Westerville. .
The driver told the man he needed a street address, and the suspect then started to tamper with the video monitor in the vehicle, reports said.
The report did not indicate how the incident was resolved.
In other recent incident reports from northwest Columbus:
* A 39-year-old man filed an assault report at 10:15 a.m. Dec. 20, stating three days earlier he was punched in the head while at an address in the 6300 block of Answorth Drive.
The victim said the incident took place between 1 and 3 a.m. Dec. 17. The officer who took the report noted there was a mark on the victim's forehead.
* A woman who lives in the 7200 block of Chaparral Road contacted police about an ongoing series of harassing phone calls at 4:15 p.m. Dec. 16. The woman said the caller, a man she knows only by first name and whom she met in passing, had been calling her between five and 20 times a day, in spite of being informed Dec. 4 and again on Dec. 5 to stop contacting her.
"The victim states she only met the suspect in passing and he has called relentlessly, but so far has not come to her address ..." according to the report.
