Four automobile thefts were reported recently in the German Village area.

A $15,000 Honda Accord, manufacturing date unknown, was stolen between 9:45 p.m. Dec. 22 and 10 am. Dec. 23 from East Frankfort Street and South Pearl Alley, according to Columbus Division of Police incident reports.

Between 6 p.m. Dec. 30 and 4:30 p.m. Dec. 31, a $5,000 Jeep Cherokee, manufacturing date unknown, was stolen from the 800 block of Mohawk Street.

A $12,000 Volkswagen Jetta, manufacturing date unknown, was stolen between Dec. 26 and Jan. 2 from Jackson and South Ninth Streets.

The victim said he parked the car at the intersection on Dec. 26 and when he returned to move it at 5:38 p.m. Jan. 2, it was gone.

A $3,000 Jeep Cherokee, manufacturing date unknown, was stolen between 9 p.m. Dec. 25 and 9 a.m. Dec. 26 from the 200 block of Mithoff Street.

In other recent incident reports:

* Women's sunglasses, valued at $100, were stolen between 11:35 p.m. Dec. 24 and 3:35 a.m. Dec. 25 from a vehicle in the 700 block of South Fifth Street.

* Between 1 p.m. Jan. 3 and 12:30 p.m. Jan. 4, someone broke into a garage in the 600 block of Mohawk Street.

The suspect then broke into a car and stole a wooden box, of undetermined value, containing business documents.

Reports said the suspect tried to break into another car in the garage, but was unsuccessful.

* A burglary occurred between 2:05 and 3:53 p.m. Dec. 25 in the 400 block of East Deshler Avenue.

Items stolen included $5,000 worth of jewelry, a hoverboard (no value listed on the report) and three video-game consoles valued at $199, $299 and $249.
