The Worthington school board has a new leader for 2018.

At the board’s first meeting of the year Jan. 8, Julie Keegan was chosen as president by a unanimous vote.

Keegan replaced Jennifer Best as president. Keegan was first elected in 2007 and last served as president in 2015.

Meanwhile, last year's vice president will continue in his duties after Sam Shim was chosen in a 3-2 vote.

Shim first was elected to the board in 2013.
