A woman told police that at 1:15 p.m. Jan. 4, a man entered her hotel room in the 700 block of Morse Road, assaulted her and robbed her of $30.
In other Northland-area police reports:
* A representative of a motel in the 4800 block of Sinclair Road contacted officers at 11:40 a.m. Jan. 2 regarding an incident of vandalism committed by a former guest. According to the report, when a member of the staff went to clean a room, it was discovered that the television set, all the mirrors and other items, worth a combined $2,000, had been smashed or damaged.
* A former employee of a store in the 1200 block of Morse Road was issued a no-trespass notice by an officer at 5 p.m. Jan. 2 after allegedly getting into a fight at the business with an employee.
The suspect had departed by the time the officer arrived, so he noted that he left a message regarding the no-trespass warning on the man's cellphone.
* A homeless man was charged with disorderly conduct after being found on the ground "intoxicated and unable to care for himself" at the intersection of Morse Road and Tamarack Boulevard at 8:26 p.m. Dec. 30.
* A Powell resident said he was robbed of a $200 cellphone and $40 by someone he knows and two strangers at the intersection of Karl and Red Robin roads at 10 p.m. Nov. 28. The victim filed the report at 7:14 p.m. Dec. 29.
"Victim stated he was invited to the listed suspect's home and before he left for the night, both suspect and unknown suspects approached the victim outside of the suspect's home and started to assault him by striking him with closed fists in the face and kicking him in the head," according to the report.
"Victim stated when they finished assaulting him, they took his property."
