A 40-year-old resident of the 2400 block of Dunsworth Drive told a Columbus police officer at 12:30 a.m. Dec. 31 that an acquaintance who is no longer a friend threatened her and her children at 10:48 p.m. Dec. 30.
The victim said the threat came in an email. She said it was not the first time the suspect had made threats against her. The responding officer was unable to contact the suspect to get his side of the story and referred the woman to the prosecutor’s office.

• Fragrances valued at $1,200 reportedly were taken from a store in the 6000 block of Sawmill Road at 4:56 p.m. Dec. 30.
• A 58-year-old man gave officers a confusing account at 1:18 p.m. Dec. 30 of an incident that took place in his residence in the 2000 block of Wendys Drive the previous afternoon. The man said a suspect gave him a pill that caused him to pass out, the responding officer wrote. The man said when he passed out he fell into a wooden stand holding a vase worth $2,000. The vase fell to the floor and was destroyed, he said. The man said the suspect attempted to take $35,000 worth of his HIV medications, but the man would not explain details of the theft or how he knows the suspect, the officer wrote.
• A man, 45, was transported to a hospital for treatment after being injured in a fight that was reported to police at 12:10 a.m. Dec. 29 in the 2200 block of West Henderson Road.
