On Jan. 11, we raised a glass (or two) to Combustion Brewery & Taproom, 80 W. Church St. Suite 101, Pickerington, for our inaugural brewery-tour video series.

Every Thursday, ThisWeek’s Facebook Live crew will visit a central Ohio brewery to find out what sets it apart from the other breweries in the area.

Combustion kicked off our video series.

Owner Keith Jackson makes nearly 20 beers (and a cider) in house, ranging from light ales to dark stouts. When Jackson told us Combustion has something for every adult, he wasn't kidding. Some of his beers include coffee-bean infusions, blueberries and milk to make complex but smooth flavors.

No beer travels more than about 50 feet from the brewery to the bar, Jackson said. And although you can't pick up a six-pack of Combustion brews in stores, he does have growler and crowler (32-ounce can) options available for take-home.

In addition, Combustion has shareable snacks for guests and, as of December 2017, serves wine and liquor for those who don’t much care for beer, Jackson said.

For the rest of the winter, Combustion will play host to the Olde Pickerington Farmers Market from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursdays in its upstairs bonus space. Combustion renovated the upstairs loft for private events and wedding receptions, but the farmers market will be there until it's warm enough to be outside again, Jackson said.
