The Ohio Department of Transportation's plans for closing ramps on Interstate 270 near Hilliard continue to change, according to an email sent from ODOT District 6 on Tuesday, Jan. 30.
After an ODOT Facebook post Jan. 29 suggested the ramps from I-270 southbound to and from Cemetery road would close the afternoon of Jan. 30, one day earlier than previously reported, ODOT announced a few hours ago the closures would not begin until noon Wednesday, Jan. 31, as originally expected.
The from ramp to I-270 south from Tuttle Crossing Boulevard closed as expected Jan. 30, to allow for pavement repairs.
Work is expected to be completed by 4 p.m.
Tentative ramp-closure plans for Cemetery Road from Interstate 270 have changed, according to Nancy Burton, a spokeswoman for District 6 of the Ohio Department of Transportation.
The ramp to I-270 south from Tuttle Crossing Boulevard will close at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, and reopen at 3 p.m. after pavement repairs.
The on-ramp from Cemetery Road to I-270 south will close Wednesday, Jan. 31, also for pavement repairs. Again, the window is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The ramps to Cemetery Road will not close, Burton said.
All work is weather dependent and subject to change, she said.
Both the northbound and southbound exit ramps to Cemetery Road from Interstate 270 will close from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31.
However, motorists will be able to enter both directions of I-270 from Cemetery Road.
The closure is to repair potholes, said Nancy Burton, a spokeswoman for District 6 of the Ohio Department of Transportation.
The closure was scheduled between rush-hour periods of traffic to cause the least amount of disruption, Burton said.
