A burglar made off with more than $2,000 worth of shoes, electronics and other items Jan. 24 from a residence in the 200 block of Thurman Avenue.

The incident occurred between 12:46 and 11 a.m., according to Columbus Division of Police incident reports.

Someone entered the residence through a side window and exited through the back door, taking shoes worth $1,550, a $400 game console, $100 backpack, $300 purse and a debit card.

* Between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Jan. 22, someone broke a side-view mirror on a vehicle parked at Jaeger Street and Thurman Avenue, causing an undetermined amount of damage.

* Two packages valued at $50 were stolen at 3:22 p.m. Jan. 19 from a residence in the 400 bock of East Sycamore Street.

The victim told police she heard her dog barking and looked out the window. She said she saw someone running from the residence with the two packages. The victim told police there is video surveillance of the suspect.

* Between midnight and 7 a.m. Jan. 22, someone stole $20 from an unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of Lansing Street.

* A man and a woman claimed they were robbed at 12:40 p.m. Jan. 23 in the 700 block of South High Street.

The couple's $2,000 Lexus ES300 was stolen, along with a wallet containing $300.
