Officers responding to a report of a robbery in progress at 9:55 p.m. Jan. 30 in the 1800 block of Oakgrove Court found a 47-year-old man receiving medical attention for wounds received during commission of the crime.
The robbery involved a cellphone valued at $100, according to one of the responding officers. No suspect was located, the officer noted. The man was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital in critical condition, the report said. Detectives were notified and responded.
In other Northland-area police reports:
* A woman, 30, said she was assaulted at 10:12 p.m. Jan. 30 in the 1800 block of Tamarack Circle South after an argument over the smell of burned food.
* A 28-year-old woman who lives in the 4700 block of Dechant Road contacted police at 12:20 p.m. Jan. 29 regarding threats. She said she received threatening messages on Facebook at 8 a.m. from a person whose name she provided.
* Two men, ages 23 and 21, along with a juvenile boy said they were shot at in the 4800 block of Snowbird Circle at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 28. The victims provided the name of the shooter, according to the report.
* Officers responded to a domestic situation at 6:45 p.m. Jan. 28 in the 2500 block of Bretton Woods Drive.
The initial report was that a man was threatening to shoot a woman's son at that location. They made contact with the victim, a 44-year-old woman. When officers arrived, the suspects had left the scene.
The woman told officers that the male suspect threatened to kill her son and "spray the house up." The male suspect also said he "had heat," referring to a gun, the report said. Before the suspects left the scene, the male suspect said they would be back later, the report said.
