The city of Westerville posted on its website that a procession and another vigil are planned to honor two fallen police officers -- Eric Joering, 39, a 17-year-veteran, and Anthony Morelli, 54, a 30-year veteran.

The Westerville Division of Police will escort the bodies of Officers Morelli and Joering home from the Franklin County Coroner’s Office at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 12.
Officer Morelli will be escorted to Moreland Funeral Home (55 E. Schrock Rd); Officer Joering will be taken to Hill Funeral Home (220 S. State St.). Funeral information will be provided later. The public is invited to line S. State St. from 1-270 to Uptown around 11:30 a.m. Please check back for updated times.
WPD will take the following route back to Westerville: state Route 315 to I-270 to state Route 3 Westerville (north), east on Huber Village Boulevard, left on Spring Road and then left onto Schrock Road to bring Officer Morelli to Moreland Funeral Home and right on State Street (north) to bring Officer Joering to Hill Funeral Home.
Another vigil will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at First Responders Park, 374 W. Main St.
