Hilliard Division of Police officers arrested a man who allegedly robbed a U.S. Bank branch at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 14 inside Kroger, 4656 Cemetery Road.

The man was identified Feb. 15 as Idriys Maalik ul Mulk, and he will be charged with robbery, a third-degree felony, according to an email from Hilliard police.

Maalik ul Mulk presented a threatening note to a bank teller at the branch and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, said Andrea Litchfield, a spokeswoman for Hilliard police.

Based on a description, Hilliard Lt. Doug Lightfoot and officer Mike Deaton identified Maalik ul Mulk running behind the Kroger store and apprehended him near the United Dairy Farmers service station across the street, Litchfield said.
