Damage was estimated at $15,000 to playground equipment and a fence in a vandalism incident reported Feb. 21 at 10:30 a.m. in the 3700 block of Snouffer Road.

A representative of the child- care facility at that address told the responding officer the damage was inflicted sometime after 5 p.m. Feb. 14.

The person or persons who came onto the property spray-painted, damaged and destroyed the playground equipment, knocked down two section of fencing, broke bottles and other glass containers and threw trash from a nearby Dumpster throughout the area.

In other northwest Columbus police reports:

* A resident of the 6200 block of Wealthy Lane told police at 8 p.m. Feb. 22 that he earlier that day had to physically shove a man out of the door of his residence.

The 26-year-old victim said the suspect first tried the knob and then entered through the door, at which point he pushed the man outside, receiving what the victim termed a death threat in the process.

"The victim stated he knew of the suspect but had only seen his picture on social media but he heard he was a drug user," according to the police reports.

* A 63-year-old woman filed a menacing report at 3:43 p.m. Feb. 20 regarding an incident that took place three days earlier. The victim said she was walking in the 7600 block of Sawmill Road about about midnight Feb. 17 when she heard a man shout, "Dead woman walking," followed shortly by the voice of a woman stating, "They are going to kill you."

The woman was unable to provide a description of either of the suspects.

* A woman, 23, filed an assault complaint Feb. 16 at 7:16 p.m. after she said a person she identified entered her home in the 2600 block of Sawbury Boulevard at 3:32 that afternoon and began yelling at her.

"The suspect then took a hold of the victim's hair and struck her repeatedly in the face," according to the report. Eventually two other people intervened. "The victim estimated that the suspect had a hold of her hair for eight minutes," the report said.
