Hilliard City Schools Assistant Superintendent Leslie McNaughton announced March 5 she would retire, effective June 30.

McNaughton started working at the district in 1992 as principal at Ridgewood Elementary School. Since 2000, she has been an assistant superintendent.

“It’s been an amazing opportunity to serve our students and families through the years,” she said.

McNaughton said she and her husband, Bob, would move to Texas to spend time with family and to travel.

McNaughton's current total compensation is $213,911, which includes an annual salary of $146,072 and benefits worth $67,839, according to the district.

Superintendent John Marschhausen said at the school board meeting Monday, March 12, he would recommend Vicky Clark be named assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction.

Clark has been employed in the district since 1994 as a teacher, special-education coordinator, principal and student-support-services director.

She currently is director of elementary curriculum.

Clark's current total compensation is $189,142, which includes an annual salary of $127,266 and benefits worth $61,876, according to the district.
