Staff, students and the community are mourning an assistant football coach but also remembering his legacy and the contributions he made, Bexley Middle School principal Jason Caudill said.
Andrew P. Good, 32, died Feb. 28.
"We are all saddened by the loss, but grateful for the time we had to know him and for the impact he had on all of us," Caudill said in a written statement. "He loved deeply and was a passionate supporter of the underdog. He saw the blessings in his life and sought to create those same blessings for others. His community will dearly miss him."
Donations in his memory can be made to the Andrew Good Memorial Fund for Youth Sports at the Jewish Community Center of Columbus, 1125 College Ave., Columbus 43209, according to Good's obituary, which was published March 2 in The Columbus Dispatch.
According to the obituary, Good is survived by his father, Eliott Good, who is the Bexley Muddle School head football coach; his mother, Toni Good; brother, Jordan Good; sister, Hilary Good; grandfather, Samuel Good; and several uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Good was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lillie Good and Myra and Lionel Stern.
