A 13-year-old Whitehall boy told police he was robbed at 4:45 p.m. Feb. 27 at South Yearling Road and Rickenbacker Avenue.

The boy told Whitehall police officers he was walking to a store in the 500 block of South Yearling Road when five males asked if he had any money and if he was "willing to fight for it."

The boy said he took $23 from his pocket, dropped it on the ground and walked away.

One of the five males punched him on the neck from behind, but the others told him to "leave (the victim) alone," according to reports.

The victim walked back home and a relative called 911, police said.

The boy had "minor redness" and declined medical treatment.

He provided police with descriptions of all five males, but none have been identified, according to reports.
